Pine Run

News, Information, Mitigation Reports
Garbage and Recycling
The new single-stream recycling rules have gone into effect. This means that it is no longer necessary to separate paper from plastic and glass. Click on the link below for graphic outlines of what is recyclable and what is not. Please note that plastic bags should never be put in the recycle container. Pizza boxes, paper plates, cups and napkins are not recyclable. Styrofoam goes into the garbage; not the recycle bin. All containers must be thoroughly rinsed. Cardboard must now be cut to fit into the recycle bins. The county will not pick up cardboard placed outside the bin. Please cut down your cardboard so that it is recycled instead of ending up in the landfill. This can easily be accomplished with a box cutter. Responsible recycling is one small step each of us can take to contribute to the health of our environment.
