New Planting, July 2020
The areas at the north ends of both the 200’s and 700’s that were cleared for the drainage project were planted on Monday, July 13th by Molly Summers of Molly’s Native Plantings. She was assisted by volunteers Steve Ross, Owen Hodge, Larry Seitter, Damon White and Keenie Bugenhagen. The following native plants were installed: Southern Red Cedar, Seagrape, Marlberry, Buttonbush Lantana and Blanket Flower. This is the latest phase of the long-term project of removing invasive plants and replacing them with native plants to reduce maintenance, restore the habitat and attract native fauna including birds and butterflies. The plants are being watered by volunteers Larry Seitter, Christine Vann and Carol Bishop.
